"The chance of Double Drop increases by 0.1% every level, starting at 0.1% at Woodcutting level 1, resulting in 100% chance at Woodcutting level 1000"
"For example, a level 500 miner will have a 50% chance to get a double drop! Double drops work on all materials gathered fastest with a pickaxe (not sand, dirt, gravel etc)"

Both are quotes from the mcmmo wiki, quit saying this heroes setup is more op then mcmmo please as I've made mastery double drop rates the same as mcmmo. Heck mcmmo even has triple drops when using ablities like super breaker, not to mention the bonus ablilities in mcmmo are way more useful then what heroes has to offer. The ONLY thing this setup may make a bit easier is getting double drop mastery (takes somewhat less time) but the endgame amount is the same.

Urikdaffy its the best supplement we have for mcmmo as mcmmo combat had many issues and cuased many conflicts with heroes, we lose a few abilities like super breaker and green terra for the ability to make an epic custom pvp system. I tried to make the best and closet system I could with heroes by incorparating double drops and as many non-combat abilities as I could.

I think you've done a good job with it.
McMMO was a bit OP
But this is fine with me. Nice and fair.

that mcmmo was different from the mcmmo we had from the start.

To start I really was looking forward to the Handyman profession though I don't believe it was put up yet for availability.

As for Botanists, its crazy hard to actually level even with a decent farm. Mainly due to the fact that most of the higher yield crops are almost worthless for xp. Also you don't even get xp for other plants such as Cacti or Cocoa beans. Though honestly I do understand Cocoa beans since they grow crazy fast.

Miner: This class is probably the most desired class at this moment. Mainly due to the xp rate of advancement. But also that Diamonds are a drop when mining stone now from this profession. Which comparatively is a huge bonus, I mean you always have diamond tools and gear, plus if you want you could sell it instead for a fair amount of cash. So far Leah has mined like 20 min and has over 30 diamonds from just her 4% ore drop rate. This is truly a huge bonus, just saying. So far even with 30 min of mining she hasn't even gone through one diamond pick yet, and already can make 10 more if she needed to. Was this intentional?

Alright I had no idea that it was like this. I even tried making botanist a bit more easier but apparently it didn't help much. I will work on it as soon as I can possibly tonight if not then tomorrow in the morning. As for the miner, I will look into it and see if I can do anything to make it less "overpowered". Thank you for telling us and I hope I can make it better.

Yeah same thing with Shepard like Shepard is a awesome profession but its really hard to level up killing mobs gives you quite a bit of exp much less than i get from my hero class you should add a thing for Shepards like...that they are farmers so we get exp from farms or something

PostSubject: Update on Professions and Leveling.   Wed Sep 26, 2012 7:09 pm

Handyman: I'd like to see if the drop rate on fishing for handyman could be increased. The xp rate is actually just about perfect. If I am catching fish rapidly it's just slightly above logging, but otherwise it's equal or lower than logging is. Also having the rate of fish caught increase won't change the current xp acquisition for the profession. I'd like to see fishing actually become a more moderate source of food for players. It's easier to just make bread or melons to feed players. Increasing the drop rate, would both promote fishing for food and increase the number of people who would want to fish instead of log trees. After all we can make money off logs, but not fish.

Shepherds: I've noticed that it can take a considerable amount of time to level as a Shepherd, even with monster grinding. Sure you could spawn sheep and multiply them and make huge animal farms, but except for sheep, you only get xp for killing the animals. Cows and Pigs have very low xp rates (1xp each), and though they are excellent sources of food, sheep are by far the most productive among farm animals (3xp each plus .25 for shearing them.). If it's not too much trouble maybe increase Cows/Pigs xp slightly but still keep them below sheep. Leah just mentioned a valid point for shearing, unless you have a massive farm, sheering is slower than mining, and a the same xp rate as cobblestone. After all those stupid sheep have to eat to grow wool, and if your sheering, your not likely to be killing them, unless your breeding too. So I think maybe up it to .4 or .5 and see how that works.

Botanists: Though I changed class away from this, the xp rate was increased and it makes it more likely to increase in level. Thank you for jumping up the xp slightly. Melons/pumpkins are 2xp each, and wheat is just under .5 xp if I recall. Mushrooms, grow fairly slowly at least the little ones. and they only give .5 xp each last I checked, and giant mushrooms where .75 if I recall. I'll have Brokenlord13 check for me. Perhaps we can increase the mushrooms to 1xp, since they are slow to spread or farm. Though keeping giant mushrooms at the current level, is fine. You can farm them fairly rapidly if you want to, but it takes time and resources. I don't recall how much vines give for xp. I believe it was 1.5 last I saw, which is fine. They also take awhile to grow, so it slows down how fast they can be used for xp. *thinks* there was something else.... I can't comment on the drop rate of herbalism, I'm not sure it's active. I'll have to ask Broken to pay attention for me.

As for the Miner profession, I'll be honest I know jack. I haven't had any feed back from other players and I don't have friends/family who are them to ask their opinions. So I'm sorry that I can't offer assistance with this one.

I don't want to sound like I am forcing you or demanding the rates to change. Instead I am just offering feed back from what I have noticed so far, that way you guys can get a picture of how they are performing.

Just for the record, only made Lvl 5 as a handyman so far, and would try to lvl it more but I've been busy with other projects, and helping xLeah7x level as a Shepherd when she goes and tries to slay monsters.

Handyman: Unless it was changed fishing cant be improved, as it reaches 100% double fish at level 25 already, youll see the fish yeild improving greatly as you level. Although I may be able to Increase initial % at the cost of less % per level.

Shepards: I suggest buffing shearing exp to 3, not quite the origional 5 but much better than it is atm the value can always be reblanced. Monster exp should also go up, Im not sure of current values but seeing as grinders are illegal they should be high. It also comes to my attention that the multiplier was brought down from x2 to x1, seeing as it only gets exp from killing and sheering I believe it should return to x2 or maybe even higher.

Botanists: Double drop should reach 100% at 25, as for exp I still find it a bit too low, as it takes 100k to master any class. I also agree with the mushroom buff, 3xp would be a fit value in my opinion.

Miner: I feel this one just has more perks availible than the others, Im currently looking for additional skill jars that might bring the others more up to par with the miner.

Overall: It seems we need exp rate buffs for everything. If any of the admins are thinking of nerfing something just consider this before you do, divide 100k by the exp value of the item, that is how many of that item you need to break to master ONE class, if that number is too exsesive cut it back. Just becuase someone gets from 1-7 fast doesnt mean they will get from 1-25 fast the leveling curve is pretty steep, I can change this if you like.
