(Not) Farewell

Hello,

I want to apologize to the Administrators and Moderators of this server. I said that I'd stick around and help as long as I could, but it seems I have to leave. The blatant disregard for following the rules, as well as the mass disrespect and inability to have a civil conversation really makes me feel like I don't belong and don't need to be present.

This isn't me being a drama queen and this isn't me being hateful; I'm merely saying goodbye and letting those who want to be friends know where to reach me. I cannot, emotionally, handle what happened in chat today and I'm disappointed in everyone. It is not hard to respect the people around you and to have a civil conversation with people, even when you disagree with them or their methods. Period.

Maybe I'm just asking too much or trying to be too much of an adult--I don't really know. However, I'm not going to keeping going onto a server where I am spoken rudely to when I'm only trying to help. Let me reiterate that--I was trying to help. That is all. I am truly sorry that I could not contribute more properly to make you all feel more welcome. I never intended for anyone to feel like they had to act with hostility towards me--but as I'm not wanted, I'll not stay. Sorry Leah, Yes I may have argued too much but they don't understand the fact, they still really thing I used you but who cares what they care. I shouldn't ignore u like that. Sorry for the people who disrespected you... Yet they still think I brought u in for you to defend me... Too bad they can't read minds. But please come back.. Sorry for the trash talk -we- gave you.

For the record:
I was NOT defending buildlord/UnAuthorized. I wasn't there to "back him up," nor am I some little pawn on a chessboard.

I don't just go in to "defend" anyone. I spoke for myself and myself alone. I'm a grown woman and I know how to speak my mind. the sad part is, I wasn't defending anyone. All I was trying to do was to get a nice, polite, civil conversation going on a forum so that we could actually fully comprehend what everyone's point of view was.

Let me say something else: You want a change on the server?? How about asking nicely in a place where there can be a full response written up in detail with an explanation where people can understand both sides of the disagreement? Where I come from, you don't gang up on one admin just to get things fixed and solved. We're supposed to work together as a team to make things work. I didn't think I was asking too much for someone to just give me a post so that I could understand their point of view.

I will not tolerate being treated that way--not ever. I think both sides of this argument are WRONG and I feel that the only way any of you are going to get anything fixed is by sitting down, calming down, and having a conversation instead of an argument. It's not rocket science, it's just a little common sense and a lot of self-respect, which none of you seem to have, if you're going to just trash talk staff members and be sarcastic and rude.

I understand your point of us going mad and angry and having no respect for other people but that's life, we aren't always going to get along with people,true friends will forgive (not saying that you should forgive) and remain the best of friends as life goes on like in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (PMD). There were times when you couldn't trust your friend and yet they stuck together, so i'd appreciate that we welcome you back on the server and on behalf of everyone I'd like to say sorry.

I'll start this off by saying I've never been very good with words.
We all feel bad about what happened, and I feel bad especially because I was one of the people who started the argument, and had been firing others up about what I thought was wrong all day, and I might've had the chance to stop it all had I not given up when my cat ruined my forum post, I'm sorry.
Things really got out of hand fast, words were said on both sides of the argument that will be regretted, and we never meant for you or anyone else to get hurt in the crossfire. Unfortunately we became as unreasonable as we perceived Build to be in our attempt to make him see our point of view, and for that we are all deeply sorry, we hope that you can look past this and remember all the good times you've had on the server, and not give up on this community for one flared up argument that got out of hand.
No, I cannot defend anyone for what was said or done, nor do I want to, because what happened wasn't right, we went about it the wrong way. I could've prevented it possibly, but I didn't, because I was mad at my cat, and frustrated that I had lost what I had written, as well as being stressed at things in my personal life right now, I was in no fit state to have an argument, it was bound to get out of hand, and again, I'm sorry.
I'm sure prior to this you've had as good a time as any of us on this server, and I for one don't want to see the good times end for anyone, though that may not have been clear from what I said today.

Alright, Tuna, thank you for being upfront with me. Why don't you post up your issues, when you have the chance, so I can help you solve your issues with the server?

I will make a new post about any issues I still have, not tonight though, it's late here and I should be asleep already. For now I'm going to say what I should've said this morning; I'll stick with towny, because that's what I like, if money to fund the town becomes an issue, I'll bring it up when it is, because right now it's not, as long as I don't spend it in the faction world. It's a simple solution that unfortunately I just couldn't see before.

Just want to point something out to those involved in this argument. Just remember that this is a game, not real life, and not anything the effects your life. Is it really worth losing a member of the server and hurting the feelings of countless more just to get your point across? If you think about it, this entire situation is silly. How hard is it to respect everyone on the server? When things start to get hostile....just stop and breathe...remember there are other people on the other end of the screen that have feelings too.

As I was not online at the time, I am unable to comment on the event. Although I did want to post this for everyone to think about. Just remember that this is just a game and its not a gang environment.

Leah, if you indeed decide to sign off, just know that I will personally miss you. It was great talking to you on ventrilo and in-game. Hopefully one day the members of the server will become mature enough to realize the mistakes they made.


Just a side note
I know I was somewhat blunt in this post. If you find this offensive, then it might be time for you to look at the effects of your actions too.
Just want you to know that I do not want anyone to think I am personally attacking them.
